The Nyssa Honor Society is our local chapter of the National Honor Society. The four pillars defining our purpose are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Students are selected for membership by a panel of teachers based on these four pillars. Nyssa Honor Society seeks community projects that develop and demonstrate these characteristics.

Upcoming Events: TBD
Nyssa High School has an active chapter in the National Honor Society. This Society exists to further the values of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Students gain membership to NHS by earning qualifying grades in school, submitting an application, and being selected by a panel of teachers.
Our chapter meets during lunch time as needed to organize library programs, field trips, club membership roles, fundraisers, etc. The Nyssa Chapter of the NHS routinely provides programs for the public at the Nyssa Public Library involving reading, crafts, and science experiments. This year, we also volunteered at the Idaho Botanical Garden during their Winter Garden A-Glow event.
