Talon graduated from Weiser High School and then went on to get his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics from Eastern Oregon University. He received his Master's Degree from Western Governors University in Educational Leadership. His first teaching job was at Malheur Education Center for two years, then Parma for five years for grades 5-9. While there he also coached middle school football and high school wrestling. Since leaving Parma he has been in Nyssa at the middle school teaching math for the past 3 years. He has lived in Nyssa for the past thirteen years with his wife and their four children. His favorite past times include spending time with his family and playing sports (mostly golf because it doesn't take too much exercise).
