NHS Families: Parent teacher conferences are this week. Quarter one report cards will be available in the main office. Teachers will be available in their classrooms during the following times: Wednesday 5-8pm & Thursday 8:00-12pm, 1-4pm, & 5-8pm. We look forward to seeing you at conferences! Here are some great upcoming things happening at NSD. 1. October 15th- Joleen Reece Court Dedication during the volleyball game (7pm) 2. October 17th- Homecoming Parade (around 2:40pm) 3. Also October 17th- Pumpkin Fun Day at the Elementary for all NSD families/students (5 to 7pm) 4. October 18th- St. Alphonsus' Mobile Mammogram Bus will be at the School District. Call 208-367-8787 to schedule an appointment or for questions. You will need your insurance card and photo ID the day of your appointment (there are income-based grants and a self pay discount) 5. October 23rd- Nyssa HOSA is sponsoring a fall blood donation drive. We have received reports of a social media post circulating regarding threats toward neighboring schools. At this time, we have no reason to believe that Nyssa is one of the schools mentioned. However, we are closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with local law enforcement and will keep you updated should there be any changes. Unfortunately, these types of threats are part of a viral trend we are seeing across the country due to recent events. We want to assure you that we are taking this seriously and prioritizing the safety of our students and staff. If you or your students hear anything or have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your building administrators, counselors, teachers, or anonymously make a report to SAFEOREGON.
