Good morning. As most of you have heard, the Nyssa School Board and Superintendent Johnson signed a separation agreement effective today. This is a negotiated agreement that was presented to the Board and ratified by the Board with a unanimous vote at a special meeting last night (Monday, July 17th). The Board is fully aware of the impact any leadership change generates and understands that uncertainty can breed distrust. The Nyssa School District is looking to fill three Budget Committee vacancies for fiscal year 2024-25. If you are interested the application can be found on the Districts main homepage. Applications are due by August 11th @ 5pm.

Free Sports Physicals will be available at Nyssa High School on Thursday, July 27 and Friday, July 28 - All incoming freshmen are required to have a new physical for high school sports - if you would like to see if you are needing a physical please contact the high school at 541-372-2287. All other sports paperwork is available in the front office - this is required in order to participate in sports. Thank you.

Class of 2023: Diplomas will be available this week starting tomorrow. Seniors please visit the high school between the hours of 8:30am-3pm Tuesdays through Thursdays to pick up your diplomas. If you have national honor society collars or FFA collars you must return those items before receiving your diplomas. The high school’s temporary office is in the choir room. Please enter through the gym foyer doors.
