Students with the last name starting with the letter A-L will come on Monday August 24 from 10:00-6:00 and students with the last name starting from M-Z will come on Tuesday from 10:00-6:00. Students will be able to get their schedules, pick up textbooks, and get their chromebook at that time. This will be a curbside pickup. A staff member will greet you at the curb and bring your supplies to your car. Nyssa: Actualización de Nyssa High School Nos estamos preparando para el inicio de clases el 26 de agosto. Se destribuirán un Chromebook y libros de texto el próximo lunes y martes 24 y 25 de agosto. Los estudiantes con el apellido que comienza con la letras A hasta L vendrán el lunes 24 de agosto de 10: 00-6: 00 y los estudiantes con el apellido que comienza con las letras M hasta Z vendrán el martes de 10: 00-6: 00. Nyssa High School Update
We are preparing for the start of school on August 26. We will be having a chromebook and textbook pick up next Monday and Tuesday August 24 and August 25. Students with the last name starting with the letter A-L will come on Monday August 24 from 10:00-6:00 and students with the last name starting from M-Z will come on Tuesday from 10:00-6:00. You will be able to pay fees, pick up textbooks, get your schedule, and get your chromebook at that time. See you then. Don't forget your mask.
A 4 period block schedule will be used at Nyssa High School for distance learning this fall. This instruction will follow a set daily schedule and include daily live instruction.
Parents still have the option to do online learning with edgenuity which is at the students own pace and on their own schedule but does not include live instruction from Nyssa High School teachers.
We are currently working on individual student schedules and will have more information about distance learning and edgenuity online out to parents soon.
Due to Covid and the most recent state mandates our Nyssa High School schedule this year will be 4 block classes first semester and 4 block classes second semester. Classes will be 75 minutes in length. A previous year long class worth one credit will now be completed in a semester block class. Students will begin the school year on August 26, 2020. Prior to that date students will be issued their schedule based on the schedule requests from last fall. We appreciate your patience in this time of constantly changing state mandates.

with prongs. A cheap calculator is optional for Physical Science, but Advance Science students will need a
scientific calculator.

Nyssa High School Registration.
Nyssa high school registration this year will be online. Registration will open Monday July 27 at 12:00 pm and we are asking all parents to register by the end of the day Friday July 31. It is critical that you register your student as we need to know if you intend for your high school student to attend school onsite or online.
If your child previously attended Nyssa School District you are able to register your student using your ParentVue Login on your computer or from the web browser on your phone. If you do not know your ParentVue Login, do not create a new login and call the high school for help.
Please also contact the high school for any students new to Nyssa School District. If you have any questions or concerns regarding online high school registration please contact the high school by calling 541-372-2287.
Nyssa High School Dress Code Update: Our intentions to change the dress code were to have a clear expectation that was easily enforced, to reduce negative interaction with students, and to be consistent with the middle school since our students use both buildings. In consideration of the many restrictions that will be required of students to return to school due to covid, we have made the decision to keep the dress code the same as last year. As you shop please choose modest clothing. Just as required last year, skirts and shorts need to be at least fingertip length with no clothing having rips or holes above the fingertips.
