Official practices will begin on Monday, November 17th and ALL athletes must be registered through Final Forms online. If a student needs a concussion test (ALL freshmen and juniors are required) then please come to the front office to verify that you have completed it, or to take it on one of our chromebooks. MONDAY OCTOBER 6th - NHS Fall CHECK-IN and FALL FAFSA Help
5:30 PM Fall Parent Check in Meeting.
Nyssa High School invites all parents and guardians to our Fall Parent Check-In with the NHS Administration. This is a great opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and partner with us in supporting your student’s success. In the HS Library at 5:30 PM
6:00 PM FAFSA FALL MEETING
We will be having a FAFSA (College Financial Aid) night next Monday October 6th at 6:00 PM in the high school foyer by the main office. This is an opportunity for students and parents to come and fill out your FAFSA form and of course there will be pizza.
To ensure that your time is productive, students should please bring a parent, chromebook, your PIN number, tax documents, and Social Security numbers.
Having said that, a parent is not required to attend but there is a section of the FAFSA that requires parent information. Regardless, students can complete part of the FAFSA application and have a parent help them finish. We will have extra chromebooks and chargers, and can help students and parents create their accounts. This year social security numbers are not required on the FAFSA form. So bring what you can and join us Monday at 6:00pm for help with your FAFSA.

La Preparatoria de Nyssa invita a todos los padres y guardianes a nuestra Reunión de Padres de Otoño con los Directores de la Preparatoria. Esta es una gran oportunidad para mantenerse informados, hacer preguntas y colaborar con nosotros en el apoyo al éxito de sus estudiantes.
La reunión será en la biblioteca de la Preparatoria a las 5:30 p.m.
6:00 PM Reunión de Otoño sobre FAFSA
Tendremos una noche de FAFSA (Ayuda Financiera para la Universidad) el próximo lunes 6 de octubre a las 6:00 PM en el vestíbulo de la Preparatoria, junto a la oficina. Esta es una oportunidad para que los estudiantes y padres llenen la solicitud FAFSA y, por supuesto, habrá pizza.
Para aprovechar el tiempo de la mejor manera, los estudiantes deben traer, un padre, un Chromebook, su número PIN, documentos de impuestos y números de Seguro Social.
Cabe mencionar que no se requiere que un padre asista, pero hay una sección de FAFSA que necesita información de los padres. De cualquier manera, los estudiantes pueden completar una parte y después un padre les puede ayudar a terminarla. Tendremos Chromebooks y cargadores adicionales, y podremos ayudar a estudiantes y padres a crear sus cuentas. Este año los números de Seguro Social no son requeridos en la solicitud FAFSA. Así que traigan lo que puedan y acompáñennos el lunes a las 6:00 p.m. para recibir ayuda con FAFSA.
